Coronavirus: Jesse Mulligan reveals what it's like to be tested for COVID-19

The Project host Jesse Mulligan has been tested for COVID-19 after displaying potential symptoms.

Mulligan shared his experience on The Project on Monday where he got the nasal swab test.

The invasive test has a stick inserted into the back of the nose for five seconds and is considered the most effective form of determining if a patient has coronavirus.

Mulligan said despite the long wait, he didn't have to leave his car and was able to wear his pyjamas along.

"Been here about 40 minutes, talked to a couple of security guards, have given my details to a nurse and everyone is lovely, they are working hard.

"It's taking a bit longer than I expected it might but I haven't got anything else to do."
