Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and the Ministry of Health's Director-General of Health, Dr Ashley Bloomfield, have provided the latest updates on New Zealand's COVID-19 outbreak and response during Tuesday's daily press conference.
Unlike the usual briefings, the Prime Minister and Dr Bloomfield had separate time slots on Tuesday, with Dr Bloomfield speaking at 1pm and Ardern taking the podium - along with Social Development Minister Carmel Sepuloni - at 1:30pm.
Three new cases of COVID-19 were announced - two confirmed and one probable - bringing New Zealand's overall confirmed and probable case total to 1472. No additional virus-related deaths were confirmed.
