An 82-year-old woman was robbed on a central city street in Palmerston North on Saturday.
The police say she was walking along Carroll St towards the CBD just after midday when two youths with a bicycle - both wearing hooded sweatshirts, one black and the other red - grabbed her handbag, causing her to fall.
She was taken to Palmerston North Hospital with moderate injuries.
Police are appealing for information and ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen the youths call them on 105.
