Five people were arrested in a police sting which turned up hundreds of thousands in cash, meth and a range of guns.

Last Friday police busted a west Auckland address and recovered $300,000 in cash, five guns and a small amount of methamphetamine. A week later, officers executed 10 more search warrants across Auckland and Tokoroa.

A further $100,000 cash and even more meth was found on Friday morning (May 8).

As a result of the busts, five men have been arrested and are facing a range of charges including possession of methamphetamine for supply, conspiracy to deal methamphetamine, supplying methamphetamine, money laundering, unlawful possession of firearms and participation in an organised criminal group.

Det Insp Colin Parmenter says the arrests show the police dedication to disrupting the chain of methamphetamine distribution.

"We will continue to work tirelessly in this space and arrest those responsible, who have absolutely no regard for the significant damage these drugs cause in our community, with often those vulnerable most affected."
