A homicide investigation has been launched after the death of a one-year-old child in Clover Park, south Auckland.
Police were called to the home late on May 23. Despite attempts to revive the child, they died at the scene.
A post-mortem has been carried out and detectives are currently investigating what happened, Counties Manukau Police detective inspector Tofilau Fa'amanuia Va'aelua confirmed in a statement.
No one has been arrested or charged in relation to the toddler's death so far.
The police are unable to provide further comment at this time.
