Police say the young teen missing near Timaru has been found "safe and well" on Sunday night.
Thirteen-year-old Maddison Ross had gone missing from her home address in Pleasant Point, a small town in southern Canterbury.
Police were notified of her disappearance on Saturday afternoon and requested assistance to find her.
On Sunday night they released an update saying she has been found in the area "safe and well".
Police would like to thank the public for their concern and assistance.
