Coronavirus: No new COVID-19 cases for 22 days

For the 22nd day in a row, New Zealand hasn't recorded any new COVID-19 cases.

The latest figures from the Ministry of Health show New Zealand hasn't recorded any new cases of the novel respiratory illness in the last 24 hours.

The total number of confirmed and probable cases reported in Aotearoa since the virus' outbreak remains at 1504. 

Following the recovery of an Auckland woman on Monday, New Zealand has no known active cases of COVID-19. The death toll sits at 22. No one is in hospital. 

Worldwide the pandemic is gaining steam, with more than 140,000 new cases confirmed in the past day - the most yet. More than 428,000 people have died. 

Labs did 2978 tests on Friday, bringing the total to 307,810. More than 550,000 people have signed up to the tracing app, scanning into locations 921,480 times so far.
