Keeping New Zealand's National Air Ambulance flying

Starship's National Air Ambulance is needed by a child and their family every 48 hours.

Their vital role includes transporting children from hospitals, who are in urgent need of specialist care.

But now they're the ones who need the acute attention - they need funding to keep the service alive.

Starship's clinical director Dr John Beca spoke to The AM Show.
