A man has died after being swept down a river in Tangiwai on Wednesday night.
The man was out for a late-night walk when he got into trouble.
Police confirmed they were called to the river, near Ohakune just before 9pm.
They "sadly" recovered the man's body around 10:45pm.
"Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing."
