An east Auckland woman who went missing on Wednesday afternoon has been found "safe and well".
Samara Jade Carr was reported missing after leaving her Bucklands Beach home at about 4:30pm, police say.
"Police would like to thank members of the community for their assistance and concern in this matter," a statement sent to media reads.
Police say Carr was last seen wearing a black dress with a grey, quilted zip-up jacket over the top.
Earlier, police said they and Carr's family held "concerns for her safety". They had conducted an aerial search using a Police Eagle helicopter, and carried out enquiries in the area.
"Police need to locate Samara, and we urge anyone who saw someone matching her description or has information on her whereabouts to contact Police immediately," a statement sent on Thursday morning read.
