Police have found the woman wanted in relation to the shooting of Constable Matthew Hunt.

The woman has been taken into custody "without incident" after she was found at an address in west Auckland.

On Friday, Const Hunt was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop. A 24-year-old man was later arrested after a large manhunt and charged with murder, attempted murder and dangerous driving causing injury.

The woman remained at large until just after 3pm on Saturday when she was found. Police allege she was an accessory to the murder of Hunt.

Police say she is assisting them with enquiries and is due to appear in Waitakere District Court on Monday morning.

The temporary carriage of firearms across Tāmaki Makaurau is no longer in place.
