A child is dead after being hit by a car in a driveway in Tauranga.
A police spokesperson said they were notified just after 3pm to the incident, which happened on Carlton Street on Saturday.
"Sadly, the child died at the scene," they told Newshub.
The serious crash unit has been notified and police are investigating the cause.
