A man has been charged with manslaughter after the death of a three-month old girl in Porirua north of Wellington.
Police started investigating the death in November 2018.
They say a 23-year-old man appeared in the Wellington District Court today and faces two new charges - a charge of manslaughter and wounding with reckless disregard.
Police said it had been a lengthy and challenging investigation and a tragic and emotional time for the family.
