Several central Auckland suburbs were plunged into darkness after a major power cut.
Newmarket, Remuera, Parnell, Grafton and Epsom were all experiencing a power cut, according to Vector's power outage map. Crews began responding to the outage at 2pm.
"A crew is onsite with another in transit. At this stage we are not able to confirm the cause," a Vector spokesperson said at the time. "We thank those affected for their patience."
Westfield Mall in Newmarket was also part of this outage, with power going out at about 1:30pm. The mall has been approached for comment.
Newshub reporter Alice Wilkins was in the mall when the power went out, and said the escalators stopped moving and the electronic doors wouldn't work.
Two busy intersections near the mall on Broadway also lost power, as well as other shops including Smith & Caughey's and Max.
All affected areas had their power restored by 4pm on Sunday.
