More FM radio host Jay-Jay Feeney has put out a plea for help to find her missing sister Michelle.

Feeney told Magic Talk on Wednesday that 44-year-old Michelle had been living in the Picton/Blenheim area and hasn't been seen or heard from for a week.

"She's just gone missing in the last week. No one's heard from her, no one knows where she is.

"None of her family, none of her friends, none of her children. She doesn't have a phone and it's really out of character for her to not contact somebody and we are just really worried about her."

Feeney said she had known Michelle was missing all day and it's been "very, very stressful".

She told her social media followers Michelle is also known by the spelling Mishell and the surname Tinsley.

"There was a rumour she may have been in Queenstown, so please keep a lookout there too."

Michelle has been reported missing to the police who said they want to speak with her and check on her wellbeing.

"If you see Michelle or know the whereabouts of her, please contact 105," Police said.
