A street in Dannevirke has been cordoned off after a suspicious object was found in a house on Tuesday night.
Thyra Street has been cordoned off while a Defence Force explosive ordnance disposal team examine the object, a police spokesperson said.
Police were alerted to the object just before 5pm.
Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
