An original artwork by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is drawing huge interest on Trade Me.

The artwork is titled 'The Political Cycle' and resembles a tornado drawn in white pen on black paper. It's signed by Ardern and the current bid sits at $11,550 with more than 216 people keeping an eye on the auction.

The auction has been organised by Koru Care NZ - a charity which dedicates itself to making dreams come true for Kiwi children facing life-threatening illness.

Proceeds from the auction will be donated to Koru Care NZ.

"Jacinda Ardern has kindly donated a one-off sketch for Koru Care NZ to sell in this charity auction to help us continue the work that we do," the charity says on Trade Me.

"Although our overseas trips are currently on hold, we will be continuing making dreams come true by planning domestic holidays for these special kids."

More than 150 people have bid so far, and the auction isn't set to close until Sunday night so if you want to snatch up a one-of-a-kind Ardern artwork, there's no time like the present.
