Three men have been arrested and one is in hospital after police stormed a west Auckland methamphetamine lab.
On Monday police searched two properties, one in New Lynn and the other in a rural address in Muriwai.
The Armed Offenders Squad accompanied officers as they stormed the Muriwai property where they found a "substantial" methamphetamine lab in operation.
They also found two men, aged 35 and 37, who were subsequently arrested and charged for manufacturing and supplying meth.
A third man attempted to run from police but was hunted down by police dogs. He was injured during the arrest and taken to hospital.
The 44-year-old is in a stable condition and will face the same charges as the other two men.
At the New Lynn address police found a sawn off shotgun and ammunition as well as a small amount of meth. More than $300,000 in cash was also found at the house.
A woman at the New Lynn house is assisting police with their inquiries, and police say they cannot rule out further charges.
