Incident halts trains on Auckland's western line

An emergency incident has stopped all trains on Auckland's western line, leaving commuters stranded.

A notice on the Auckland Transport (AT) journey planner says all train services will terminate at Morningside due to the incident.

Police said in a statement one person has been hospitalised as a result. 

The incidentoccurred at 3:15pm on Friday.

An AT spokesperson told Newshub all western line services have been delayed or cancelled, and no trains will run between Morningside and Britomart. 

The disruption follows a chaotic morning on Auckland's roads with strong winds causing two trucks to crash on the Harbour Bridge, injuring one person. 

Four centre lanes of the bridge have been closed causing heavy disruption.
