NZ Sign Language Week: Test your knowledge with the Newshub NZSL quiz

September 21-27 marks New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) Week.

The week, which celebrates one of Aotearoa's three official languages, coincides with International Week of the Deaf and the UN International Day of Sign Languages.

NZ Sign language interpreters have got more screen time than usual in 2020, thanks in large part to the dozens of Government announcements broadcast during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To put your knowledge of NZSL to the test, we've put together a quiz with help from our friends at Deaf Aotearoa to challenge how many of the signs you recognise from the coronavirus press conferences.

Think you know them all? Take the quiz below (or click here if you can't see it).

Deaf Aotearoa is a charity that aims to create opportunities so deaf people can achieve their aspirations.
