A group of teenagers throwing objects at passing vehicles on Auckland's Northwestern Motorway have smashed a car windscreen, police say.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 4pm on Saturday and spoke to the youths involved, with one person taken into custody and referred to youth aid.
Police said there have been no reported injuries.
An eye witness told NZME the car involved belonged to a couple and their toddler was in the vehicle at the time.
Enquiries are ongoing.
