Coronavirus: Two new cases of COVID-19 in New Zealand's managed isolation facilities

New Zealand has two new cases of COVID-19 in managed isolation, according to the Ministry of Health.

There are no new community cases.

Both of these cases arrived into Aotearoa from India on September 26. They tested positive for the illness around day 12 of their stay in managed isolation and have now been transferred to the Auckland quarantine facility.

With Friday's two new cases, New Zealand has now recorded 1510 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Forty-one of these are active, all of which are imported cases. There continues to be no active community cases in New Zealand.

There is one person on a ward at Middlemore Hospital with COVID-19.

"[On Thursday], our laboratories processed 5,597 tests, bringing the total number of tests completed to date to 992,141.

"There are now 2,301,800 users registered on NZ COVID Tracer. The app has recorded a total of 87,698,279 poster scans, and users have created 3,704,195 manual diary entries."
