Homicide investigation launched after south Auckland death

A man has died and a homicide investigation has been launched following an incident in south Auckland on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to Jellicoe Park in Manurewa just after 11pm. 

Acting Det Insp Warrick Adkin said attempts made to revive a man were unsuccessful and he died at the scene.

A homicide investigation has been launched but police say there is no ongoing risk to the public.
