Police have arrested a man in connection with the death of a baby girl in South Auckland.
The 28-year-old has been charged with assaulting a child and police cannot rule out further charges being laid.
He will appear in the Manukau District Court on Tuesday.
The five-month old baby boy was discovered dead at a property in Ōtara on October 22.
Police are continuing their inquiries into his death which is being treated as a homicide.
