A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged with shooting vehicles in rural Hamilton.
In June and July, eight moving vehicles were shot in the Raynes Rd, Rukuhia area. No one was injured in any of the incidents.
On Saturday, police say the man was arrested and charged with eight counts of reckless discharge of a firearm and eight of intentional damage.
"Police would like to thank all those who responded to the Police Ten 7 appeal or provided information that led to today's arrest," says Hamilton Area Commander Inspector Andrea McBeth.
The man is expected to appear in Hamilton District Court on Friday October 16.
