Police are asking the public for information to help find a Tauranga woman who disappeared in September.

Rebeka Storey told her family she was driving to her sister's house in Ranfurly on 5 September. She planned to camp overnight in her white Suzuki Swift.

She never arrived at her sister's house, and has not been in contact with her family.

She was last seen just before midnight at the Greeton Caltex. Her car was caught on camera driving south down the Tauranga Eastern link at 12:31am. The vehicle was then seen at the Manganuku campsite in the Waioeka Gorge.

Police have searched the campsite and the surrounding area extensively but no sign of Storey has been found.

Her family are extremely concerned about her and police are asking for more information.

Anyone with information, who might have seen Storey or her car, is urged to contact police on 104 and quote file number 200909/2598.
