A truck fire is causing early morning traffic delays in Auckland.
The New Zealand Transport Agency says one lane is open past the scene of the fire near State Highway 16 heading to Point Chevalier from Waterview.
"Expect delays if you are trying to get to Pt Chevalier from Waterview or from #SH16 citybound as emergency services have now blocked Great North Rd as they attend a truck fire," NZTA said earlier.
Motorists should expect delays and allow extra time while the vehicle recovery is completed.
Google Maps says there is "heavy traffic" in the area.
