Wellington's Hutt Valley train service suspended due to fallen tree

Wellington's Hutt Valley train service has been suspended after a tree crashed and fell on top of a rail at Taita station.

Train services are currently suspended between Petone and Upper Hutt, Metlink announced on Monday.

"We are currently sourcing bus replacements to shuttle passengers between Petone and Upper Hutt," Metlink wrote.

Metlink says there are maintenance crew are on-site working to resolve the situation.
