Police have arrested and charged a 54-year-old man after a woman was stabbed in Favona, Auckland.
Emergency services were called to an address on Thursday evening where they found a woman with stab wounds.
The woman was taken to Middlemore Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is expected to appear in the Manukau District Court this morning.
