A person has escaped custody at Hamilton Central Police Station and is currently on the run.
Police said there will be an increased presence in the Hamilton Central area while officers search for this person.
It added there is no further information to add at this early stage, but anyone who sees anything suspicious in Hamilton Central is asked to call 111.
