A person who died suddenly at Auckland's Takapuna Beach is believed to have drowned.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene at around 12:40pm
A St John Ambulance spokesperson confirmed to Newshub one ambulance and one manager attended a "water incident" at the beach.
A witness told NZ Herald a person had drowned and heard from others that a man was seen to be pulled out of the water.
The witness also saw a hearse parked on the Beach.
Police told Newshub they attended the "sudden death" and are "currently making initial enquiries into the incident."
