Elizabeth Zhong: Auckland woman killed in her house, placed into vehicle when dead

Police have confirmed the woman found in a car boot on Saturday in the Auckland suburb of Sunnyhill is Elizabeth Zhong. 

Detective Inspector Shaun Vickers says Zhong was killed in her Suzetta Place property and placed into the vehicle found on nearby Roadley Ave when she was dead. Items from the house were placed over the woman to conceal her.

A scene examination at her property on continues. CCTV inquiries are being made in the area.

Police are focusing inquiries on the evening of Friday, November 27 and on the morning of Saturday, November 28. Zhong's last known sighting was at 4:30pm on Friday. 

Officers were called to the scene at 10am on Saturday morning. A close associate made the call.

Vickers is confident police are making progress. He is aware of reports that a man sitting in a car was observed watching Zhong's house in the months before her death.

Police are interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen unusual activity between Friday at 4:30pm and 10am on Saturday.
