One person is dead after a motorcycle crash in Canterbury.
The accident occured on Williams St, Kaiapoi at about 3:10pm on Saturday.
"The motorbike had crashed into a tree, which had caught alight. No other vehicles were involved," police say.
The Serious Crash Unit is at the scene and traffic management is in place.
