A body has been recovered from the Ruahine Forest Park by police on Sunday.

It's believed to be that of missing 20-year-old Rehum Prior.

The Feilding man disappeared on Sunday, November 1 and both his family and police had concerns for his well-being.

His body was found near the Alice Nash Memorial Heritage Lodge, close to where his station wagon was located last month.

"Police offer their sympathies to the friends and whanau of Mr Prior at this sad time," a police spokesperson says.

"Police would like to thank the community and volunteers who supported the search for Mr Prior."

Formal identification is yet to be completed and the death has been referred to the Coroner.
