An investigation is underway into the "suspicious" death of a man in the Bay of Plenty.
Police said the man was found injured at the intersection of Newall and Whittaker Streets, Kawerau, about 7:10am on Wednesday, before being pronounced dead at the scene.
He's yet to be identified and officers want to speak with anyone who may have information about what happened.
"Information can be passed on to police by calling 105 and quoting job number P044952398," a police statement said.
"You can also pass on information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
