A person has died following a house fire in Palmerston North on Thursday night.
Emergency services were called to the blaze in the suburb of Westbrook around 11.30pm.
"The woman was transported to hospital, where she later died. No one else was injured," a spokesperson for police said.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
