A dead body has been found in a Wellington park, sparking a police investigation.
The person was found by a member of the public in Tawa's Grasslees Reserve on Wednesday morning.
Police could be seen examining the area where the body was found and a cordon has been set up.
A police spokesperson said as the inquiry was in its early stages there was no further information available.
