The Department of Corrections is holding a press conference following the surrender of inmates at Waikeria Prison who were protesting their treatment behind bars.
Corrections Minister Kelvin Davis, Department of Corrections chief executive Jeremy Lightfoot, and Department of Corrections incident controller Jeanette Burns will address media.
Prisoners began their protest on Tuesday by setting fires to buildings and ripping off shower curtains before making it onto the roof, which is where they stayed until their surrender on Sunday.
