One person has died in a house fire in Auckland.
Police say emergency services rushed to a property on Mulgan St in the suburb of New Windsor at around 5:43am on Friday morning.
The cause of the blaze is unknown at this stage and police will be working at the scene with Fire and Emergency NZ investigators to find out more.
More details about the individual who has died will not be released until formal identification takes place and the next of kin has been notified.
