Person seriously injured after vehicle towing horse float crashes into Bay of Plenty bank

A person is seriously injured after a vehicle towing an empty horse float crashed into a bank on Tuesday.

Police were called to the single-vehicle crash on SH5 at Iwitahi in the Bay of Plenty at 1:30pm.

The road is down to one lane and the serious crash unit is at the scene.
