A youth will appear in Whakatane District Court today after a stabbing left one person hospitalised.
Emergency services were called to State Highway 35 in the Opotiki area just before 10pm on Tuesday.
One person was treated for moderate injuries and a dog that was injured during the incident taken to a local vet clinic.
A person has been arrested and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
