A baby was airlifted to hospital after a car crash in the Coromandel on Thursday night.
Police are investigating the single-vehicle car crash which occurred on East Coast Road at 9pm.
The baby was flown to hospital in a critical condition but is now in a serious but stable condition.
An adult was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit examination is underway into the circumstances of the crash.
