Canterbury man killed by runaway vehicle while gardening named by police

A Canterbury man who was fatally hit by a runaway vehicle while gardening has been named by police.

Bradley James Walker, also known as Trev, was carrying out gardening work in Duvauchelle on Tuesday when an unoccupied vehicle and trailer rolled down a driveway, striking the 53-year-old.

"Police extends its sympathies to his loved ones at this time," a police spokesperson said on Friday.

Police have referred the death to the Coroner and Worksafe.
