COVID-19: Chris Hipkins, Ashley Bloomfield provide latest update on Auckland's community cases

The COVID-19 Response Minister and Director-General of Health have provided the latest updates on Auckland's three community cases during a press conference on Tuesday.

Chris Hipkins and Ashley Bloomfield confirmed that no new cases have been detected in the community in the past 24 hours.

Contacts of the three existing cases continue to undergo testing in a widespread campaign targeting close, casual plus and casual contacts, as well as the broader community. Further results of this testing will be revealed on Tuesday, including that of students and teachers at Papatoetoe High School - the school attended by one of the initial cases.

It is the second consecutive day without new community cases, although five new imported infections were recorded in managed isolation facilities on Monday.
