A vehicle has been located in the search for an Ashburton man who has been missing for four days.
Alan Collison was last seen leaving his home in a grey Toyota Surf on Monday at around 6:10am.
A police spokesperson confirmed the vehicle was found on Thursday along the Heaphy track, a popular hike, north of Karamea.
Police are now asking the public for help to identify any sightings of Collison over the past four days.
"Police and Alan’s family have concerns for his welfare and would like to hear from anyone who can help locate him.
"Information can be provided to Police on 105, quoting file number 210223/3129."
