With many Aucklanders out of the city for the long weekend, a number of motorway closures will be taking place over the coming week, prompting a warning for motorists to plan ahead.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency says the closures will start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated.
All closures are subject to weather conditions and other factors and could be cancelled or postponed at late notice, the agency added.
Anyone travelling on the affected routes is asked to follow the signposted detours.
The closures come as heavy congestion is expected on routes in and out of the city for Waitangi weekend.
