A person has died after being struck by a car in Matamata in the Waikato.
Police confirmed there was a collision between a car and a pedestrian at about 10pm on Saturday, on State Highway 24.
A police statement said SH24 at the intersection with Taihoa North Rd was closed for a short time but has since reopened.
"An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing."
