A person has been hospitalised with a gunshot injury following a firearms incident in Northcote, Auckland.
The person is receiving treatment at North Shore Hospital and is in a stable condition.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a firearms incident shortly after 7pm on Friday, a police spokesperson told Newshub. The man had already been taken to hospital when officers arrived.
Authorities were alerted to the injury by St John at about 7:20pm.
Members of the public reported hearing gunshots in the North Auckland suburb, the spokesperson said.
"We are making further enquiries into the matter."
