Firefighters are currently working to extinguish a house fire in Paraparaumu, on the Kapiti Coast.
A spokesperson for Fire and Emergency NZ told Newshub they were alerted to the fire around 4pm on Friday afternoon.
They said four appliances were attending, and one person had sustained minor injuries.
Footage from the scene shows smoke billowing from the house and into the surrounding roads.
Police officers also appear to be at the scene, talking to onlookers.
