Auckland's domestic airport was forced to evacuate on Friday morning after a fire alarm went off.
A spokesperson for Auckland Airport said the evacuation was a precaution after the smell of smoke flooded the area.
Fire and Emergency NZ told Newshub firefighters are currently investigating the source of the smoke, but it is unclear at this stage.
Footage posted to social media shows several fire trucks at the scene as travellers look on from outside the terminal.
